Allergy Season

It is allergy season for many people, and there are so few solutions offered for the symptoms they suffer.   Rather than look at what can be done to reduce or cover up symptoms, I think I would look for what might be done to prevent or eliminate the allergies as much as possible.

Here are some ideas that I found are helping people with their allergies.  These are healthy solutions, and they don't cause any side-effects. 

Nasal allergies
With nasal allergies, natural healthcare looks to the stomach as the problem.  Here are some of the suggestions for these types of allergies:
  1. It may help to consistently take a good enzyme in the evening, right after the evening meal, to help the immune system break up pollens, dust, undigested foods, etc., that may be irritating you.
  2. Enzymes suggested for this type of allergy: lipase, lactase, protease, a general food enzyme
  3. Liver: Lemon juice added to water can support the digestion of fats and oils
  4. It is agreed that spine alignment is a necessary when we want to avoid allergies.  The most successful adjustment for the relief of allergy symptoms was the bear-hug (while standing of course).  This allows the vertebra to gently separate and practically adjust itself when lifted
  5. Herbs that support the sinuses and have a history of good results for use with allergies: 
    Sage is taken to open the sinuses when they feel "plugged up," or to dry the sinuses when they are running nonstop.  Yerba Santa is good food for the whole respiratory system, especially helpful when a person feels overwhelmed by their symptoms, and exhausted.  Marshmallow root is a mucilaginous herb that supports the health of the mucus membranes.  It is both soothing and healing to the sinus membranes when they feel raw.
  6. Other support: Zinc, vitamin A, and salt support the health of the mucus membranes in the sinuses and help the body fight off invading pathogens.  Beta carotene, pomegranate, and amino acids support the immune system while you are addressing sinus allergies.
  7. Homeopathics: Allergy homeopathics specific for your type of allergy, taken daily for 4 or more days is suggested for building resistance to whatever seems to bother you.  There are remedies to ragweed, specific plants, trees, grasses, pollen, etc.  You will be happy to learn that homeopathic remedies are not only very successful at supporting the body in building resistance to irritating substances, but they are also completely nontoxic and safe.  Even for infants!
Lung and bronchial allergies
  1. For prevention it is suggested, the same as with the sinus allergies, to take a good digestive enzyme in the evening after the evening meal, to help the immune system break up pollens, dust, and/or undigested foods that may be irritating you.
  2. Spine alignment is considered essential with these allergies as well as the sinus allergies.
  3. Hot compresses on the chest with salt and/or white onion can bring relief of congestion in the chest cavity.
  4. Herbs that support the health of the lungs and bronchus: Horehound, Chinese Ephedra, Fenugreek, Marshmallow root, Mullein, Yerba Santa, Elderberry extract, Rosemary extract, Mocha's extract from Abundant Blessings Co.
  5. Homeopathics: Allergy homeopathics specific for your type of allergy, taken daily for 4 or more days to build resistance; Weed, grass, and/or tree antigen remedy; Drosera for the larynx, Wyethia for the pharynx, Bryonia for the mucous membranes of the lungs and sinuses, Allerstat, Grains, Trees, Weeds and Grass all from Energique Co.
  6. General support for respiratory distress of any kind: Enzymes, vitamin A, zinc, sodium,  pantothenic acid, L-Histidine

Dangerous allergic reactions
Here are some suggestions I have learned can be helpful: 
  1. If you know what you may have life-threatening allergies to, you may want to consider building antibodies to it before you are ever ex[posed.  This may save your life.  The most successful way to do this that I have found, is to take a homeopathic remedy made from it, at a 90c potency, for 3 or 4 days.  Your body will think you are being exposed to it, and build the appropriate antibodies (i.e., immunity).   
  2. Homeopathics: Allium Cepa, Apis, Arsenicum Alb., Rhus Tox., Urtica Urens, Ledum for swelling
  3. Adjust spine
  4. Apple cider vinegar can sometimes stop an allergic reaction. Apply to chest and sole of left foot
  5. Lemon juice concentrate rubbed on chest and/or sipped in water
